On Saturday, September 26th The King House Museum on South Main St. in Suffield hosted this annual event. And once again Cellie Ledoux, who originated this show, stepped up to chair it when no one would volunteer to take it o
ver. There were many members hanging work in the TVAA tent, in addition to those who ran their own booth. The weather cooperated, the crowds turned out, and many went home with paintings, (and artists with $$$$). Thanks to all who worked tirelessly to make this event special. Including those who worked, Thursday and Friday getting the site ready. We could not have enjoyed the success we did without you. Many were on hand all day Saturday. There were 52 artists exhibiting their work, approximately 200 people attended the event and 46 pieces of artwork were sold. Thanks to your efforts,
we made a tidy profit and made a donation to the King House Museum on behalf of TVAA. We enjoyed some great publicity, thanks to the efforts of Mary Barnes. Several new artists were there for the first time, and promised to return. Once again, Lester Smith, Suffield’s Town Historian and curator of the King House, went out of his way to meet our every need. I hope you saw our new A-frame sign on the green as you passed by. New member Laurie Tavino was on hand with her new book, and many painted on site. A great day! View photos of the event here
